Tasty burger

As the ABS Season 1 Finale races to a close, jsnyder002 is still churning out MOCs, compressing them into patties, and dousing them with ketchup. Everything about this meaty build is top-notch, right down to the excellent shaping of the melted cheese and splotches of ketchup. I especially love the window shutters used as lettuce: 

Café au lait

Confession: I'm much more of a tea person than a coffee person. Coffee tends to make me shaky, but there's not much more soothing that some chamomile tea or a chai latte. But hey, if Brother Steven wants to be a coffee drinker, that's up to him. I just don't know how I'd feel about my morning cuppa being made of plastic. 

This was built for the ABS Season 1 Finale (which I'm a proud part of!) using the dark red elbow brick as the seed part. 

Cherry pie

I love pie. Here in New England we eat it for breakfast from time to time, and there's always four or five varieties on the table at my house come Thanksgiving. Homemade is of course best, but there's something to be said about a slice of storebought cherry pie, bursting with gloppy, sweet, red-food-coloring cherry filling. W. Navarre has recreated it perfectly:

Bento box

If this build from nobu_tary had been posted a few weeks ago I wouldn't have known what it was, but fortunately my girlfriend (a Japanese food enthusiast) took me out to a Japanese restaurant recently, and I ordered Bento Box Option B (on account of me being able to actually pronounce the names of the items in it). There was some delicious beef teriyaki, some shrimp shu mai, various sushi, a mound of rice, and more wasabi than any human could possibly hope to ingest in one sitting. I devoured it, although I can't say the same about the salty grayish soup (with seaweed in it!) that came as a free appetizer. Guess I'm not a fan of all Japanese food. 

But I'm certainly a fan of good MOCs, and now that I've gotten that anecdote out of the way, I'll turn your attention to the subject of this post:

My favorite detail has got to be the giant LEGO-brick box - definitely a creative part use that lends some character to this build!

This mech is bananas

Sometimes I blog MOCs, because they're really well built, sometimes because they're really innovative. But this MOC is straight up so ridiculous, I just had to blog it.

This is literally the funniest/weirdest thing I've seen, ever since I modded Skyrim so much that I was running around, shooting ballistic cabbages (Which is definitely NOT the reason I've not been blogging).

All in All, this little creation by Caleb L. is just... bananas.

Edible NPU

nobu_tary brings us a delectable Japanese-inspired* dish built with LEGO: a bowl of fried fish over rice. There are some great build techniques used to get the shaping of the fish and the bowl, but my favorite part is the piece used to create the effect of drizzled sauce - a trio of trans-orange chains!

Cocktail party

I really don't envy the judges of the current Iron Builder round. It's impossible to predict which of the expert competitors - Jimmy Fortel (6kyubi6) or David Hensel (Legonardo Davidy) - will win in this round of the musketeer sword seed part.

Many of the builds from the round have been featured here on The Brick Bucket; now, continuing our coverage, here's perhaps the most elegant build of the round - indeed, one of the most stylish MOCs I've ever seen - a cocktail glass and dish of olives, built by Jimmy:

Jimmy gets points not just for great use of the seed part (drink umbrella and pick for the olives), but for other nice part usages as well, most noticeably the giant clam shell piece used as the dish. All together with the jet-black background and impeccable photography, this is one well-presented MOC.

Lobstah

Here in Maine, we don't say "lobster." It's the Lobster Capital of the World, and the grizzled old fishermen up here all say "lobstah," so that must be the right pronunciation. Regardless of what you call the undersea critter, it's "wicked good" on a plate with some melted butter... or immortalized in LEGO bricks by the talented Grantmasters: 

Mmm, check out all that NPU: a Japanese fan, minifig hands, and some Galaxy Squad Mosquitoid antennae, not to mention Davy Jones's lobster-hand (from Pirates of the Caribbean) for those trademark claws!

Steak tips

Kosmas Santosa (KOS Brick) had a strong finish to Foodcember with this MOC. Mmmm...

Hot dog

I've already covered the Foodcember challenge started by Kosmas Santosa (KosBrick), but Kosmas recently posted this hot dog model and it was too good to go un-blogged.

It's a simple build, but it really looks the part with its fluffy white bun (nice curves and angles on that part, I might add), red frankfurter, and rubber bands as ketchup and mustard.

Sardines for dinner!

Gilcelio Chagas may have won the current round of Iron Builder already (due to the forfeit of his competitor), but he's continuing to build MOCs for the contest and just posted this scene featuring a dinner of sardines and toast.

Everything here is presented nicely, and everything (except for the wooden cutting board) is made out of LEGO. I love food scenes done in LEGO (like this one or this one), and this is another good one to add to the growing collection. Nice job here, and I look forward to Gilcelio's future contributions to the Iron Builder arena!
