Sometimes I blog MOCs, because they're really well built, sometimes because they're really innovative. But this MOC is straight up so ridiculous, I just had to blog it.
This is literally the funniest/weirdest thing I've seen, ever since I modded Skyrim so much that I was running around, shooting ballistic cabbages (Which is definitely NOT the reason I've not been blogging).
All in All, this little creation by Caleb L. is just... bananas.

Ice Age: Continental Bricks
Here's another irresistible movie character we can check off the list as "brickbuilt"! Brought to you by captainsmog, the adorable and hapless Scrat is once again mere seconds away from his precious woolly acorn, though that ominous crack in the ice is likely to put the reunion off a while longer (probably forever).
With clever techniques to achieve proper shape and texture in the face, posture, and voluminous tail, and Mixel eyes once again doing their job to ensure unmistakable cartoonishness, this recreation is brilliantly accurate.

This in-depth review of terrible LEGO clone brands is the funniest thing you'll read this week
UK AFOL Anthony Tomkins has been hard at work on his "Communist LEGO" review series, which has undergone a massive update this year with 50 new reviews. The lengthy PDF file compiles reviews of dozens of LEGO look-alike sets - "clone brands" - and comments on their quality and shameless ripping-off of LEGO. Well, actually it mostly just rants about how terrible they all are. The document is exceedingly well-researched and nicely put together, and it also made me laugh out loud several times.
My favorite review I've read so far is the one for the BLOCK Tech Armed Forces set, which managed to a) feature nonsensical design choices, b) include unreadably tiny instructions, and c) include models that looked nothing like what was shown on the box art:
"Communist LEGO" is absolutely worth a read, if only so you can laugh (and/or become enraged) at the mis-molds, mind-bogglingly incompetent design, weird zombified minifigures, blatant copyright infringment, and every other cheap tactic practiced by these clone brands.

The Oscar Awards
Aaaaaaand the Oscar goes to...Oscar.
Great build and presentation here by Legohaulic. The character himself is nice, but the scene would not be complete without an expertly built trash can and some discarded food to litter the ground. I also like the simple yet effective backdrop constructed out of tiles.

Gone bananas
_Tiler's not monkeying around with this MOC. This hot rod looks like it's about to peel out at around 150 mph. It'll be gone in a split, so don't blink or you might miss it.
While writing this post I learned something about myself: I am surprisingly good at coming up with bad banana puns. (Feel free to contribute some more in the comments!)
You can see more photos of this potassium-infused speedster, as well as some other great vintage hot rods, here.

NO! Both fuses are blown!
Main power and life support fuses, burnt black and useless....
"Dammit, I'm here alone, the next shift's not due for a week, and I'm retiring after this shift, or was....but I only brought the one replacement fuse as originally reported....Dammit!. Either I restore power, then asphyxiate on my way to get another fuse, or I can get life support up and then be stuck here...dying, just not as fast.....Dammit dammit dammit .........."
Karf Oohlu is at it again. 'Nuff said.

Friends don't let friends step on LEGOs
Christopher Lira on Google+ has shared this funny GIF of what happens when a man tries to save his buddy from stepping on a LEGO brick:
